How Forex Broker Reviews Are Verified

Every rating and ranking on this site is built from data checked against public regulatory registers. The method is a repeatable four step process: scan the register, cross-check, date it, then re-scan. This page documents that process, and every core page links back to it.

The verification method

  1. Scan the register. For each broker, the stated regulator public register is opened and the entity name, firm reference number and permissions are read directly. The FCA register is used for United Kingdom entities, and equivalent registers for ASIC, CySEC, MAS and others. Nothing is taken from the broker marketing site.
  2. Cross-check. Brokers that operate through several entities are checked on each relevant register. The trading name, licence number and country coverage must line up. Mismatches, such as a cloned firm reference number on the wrong website, are flagged and the broker is not marked regulated for that authority.
  3. Date it. Every confirmed fact carries a last checked date. The current dataset was last checked on 2026-09-28. A verification stamp on each core page shows that date so readers can judge how fresh the data is.
  4. Re-scan. Registers change when firms gain or lose permissions. The dataset is re-scanned on a schedule, and any status change updates the record and the last checked date.

What is verified, and what is not

Verified facts include the regulator, entity name, firm reference number, minimum deposit, published EUR/USD spread, platforms and founding year. These come from registers and broker documentation. The dataset currently covers 103 brokers, of which 43 hold a confirmed FCA licence.

What is not published: any licence number that cannot be confirmed on a register, any invented statistic, and any named analyst persona. Reviews are attributed to the organisation and its verification system, not to a fictional expert. Spreads are described as typical values under normal conditions, not guarantees.

Independence and corrections

Rankings are computed from the verified data, not from advertising relationships. Some outbound links are affiliate links, and that is disclosed in each broker review. Affiliate status does not move a broker up or down a list. A broker or reader can submit a correction with a link to the public source, and confirmed corrections are applied with an updated last checked date.
